Our training includes unit standard-based, specialist, and tailored First Aid courses with flexible course styles and scheduling options to suit your individual/group’s needs and preferences.

Street Talk Defensive Driving Course

May 2026

Street Talk is an NZTA-approved course in advanced driving. Completing it reduces your Restricted licence time. If you're under 25, wait 12 instead of 18 months. If you're 25 or older, wait 3 instead of 6 months. Learn smart and safe driving skills with us.

Street Talk teaches driving safety skills in a fun and interactive way that aims to help you to better understand and cope with risks when you’re driving, improve your driving, and most importantly of all, to be a safer on the road.

This course consists of 4 x two hour sessions of classroom theory and a one hour practical driving assessment, which is preparation for the Full Licence test.

The theory component of the course encourages the student to consider:

Risk perception
Risk management
Self reflection
Decision making
Goal setting
Monitoring

We can assist you with your Learner licence training with handouts, online pre-tests and quizzes. We run small classroom sizes and help you every step of the way.
